Description

The Human Resources Specialist position will be responsible for assisting the HR Manager with all administrative and strategic hiring duties. They will assist with the recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling of new employees, and will manage up-to-date files and work schedules for existing employees. The ideal candidate will be organized, experienced, and a dedicated strategist and planner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit and interview potential applicants on experience, skills, and education
  • Schedules face-to-face interviews for qualified candidates 
  • Updates job requirements when needed
  • Contacts applicants' references and performs background checks
  • Organizes and manages new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
  • Explains and provides information on employee benefits, programs, and education
  • Maintains employee records and paperwork
  • Assists HR Manager with employee scheduling needs

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Preferred associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or extensive prior experience in human resources
  • 2+ years of experience in a human resources position
  • Possesses superb written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Organized and efficient in daily tasks
